Modules (12, 14, 16, 18) are arranged on a common frame structure (104, 106). Each outer surface of each module, forms a part of the outer surface of the assembled electronic casing (10). Seals are located between the casing modules. Connectors (46, 48, 50) are provided for electrical components. Connectors and electronic casing form a construction which is sealed against environmental conditions. Electromagnetic interference seals are included between casing modules. The modules are connected by a backplane. Modules contain rails for electronic card insertion.
