CERAMIC BLOCK AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing block which is used for a dental prosthesis formed by processing such as grinding and cutting with CAD/CAM and acquires the prosthesis with strength sufficient to withstand the use in a mouth while retaining esthetic properties by increasing strength of the prosthesis after the processing.

SOLUTION: The strength of the ceramic block used for the CAD/CAM in forming the dental prosthesis is increased by making the dental block obtained by adding calcia of 0.01-10% and yttria of 0.01-10% to the raw material of the ceramic.
