<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver which enables a user to carry out the time setting of a built-in timer when no time information is externally obtained, and a clock display method. <P>SOLUTION: A digital television broadcast receiver 11 includes: a function of using antennas 43, 48 and tuners 45, 50 to select and receive digital broadcast; and a function capable of being connected to an external apparatus through various interfaces, a control section 56 carries out the entire control, and a self-running timer section 71 carries out time setting. The timer section 71 can make time setting by using the time information included in the digital broadcast, and also can make time setting by using the time information acquired from the Internet via a communication I/F 65 or the user can make time setting by using a remote controller 17 or the like when the timer section 71 cannot receive the digital broadcast. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
