<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light intensity controller capable of performing light intensity control of a plurality of light beams in short time and with high precision with the use of a single light intensity detection sensor. <P>SOLUTION: Though initial APC is executed by sequentially lighting each laser beam, line APC is executed by simultaneously lighting all the laser beams. Though the number of beams to be made incident on an MPD changes by the initial APC and the line APC, gains are switched according to the number of beams, a differential signal according to the number of beams is calculated and light intensity of each laser beam is controlled, respectively. In the line APC, a drive current value set at the time of termination of the initial APC is read and each laser beam is lit based on the drive current value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
