<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-density mounting substrate wherein a capacitor small in the variation of a dielectric characteristic and large in capacity is built in. <P>SOLUTION: The mounting substrate is formed with a plurality of conductor layers, insulating layers and capacitors. The capacitor is built in a nearly mortar-like hole formed in the insulating layer formed on a first conductor layer, and the first conductor layer on the bottom of the hole is a lower electrode of the capacitor. A high dielectric-constant layer and an upper electrode of the capacitor are formed in this order on the lower electrode. The high dielectric-constant layer is formed smaller in thickness than that of the insulating layer, and the upper electrode is formed covering the upper surface of the high dielectric-constant layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
