PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for replenishing a developer replenisher in an automatic developing machine for a photosensitive planographic printing plate, by which changes in the sensitivity of a developer solution to changes in developing conditions can be suppressed to a minimum. SOLUTION: The method includes developing a large number of photosensitive planographic printing plates, after exposed with a developer solution containing an electrolyte and a development inhibitor; and keeping the activity of the developer solution constant. The conductivity of the developer solution is measured; the conductivity of the developer solution is compared with a preliminarily determined conductivity reference; and when the conductivity of the current developer solution is lower than the conductivity reference, the developer solution is replenished with a developer replenisher which is prepared to have higher conductivity than the developer solution and with a developer replenisher, which is prepared to have a higher concentration of a development inhibitor and to have higher conductivity than the developer solution.
