PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal digital assistant with built-in telephone functions which allows a user to effectively use a plurality of display panels, according to the quality, quantity, or usage of information handled. SOLUTION: The personal digital assistant with built-in telephone functions consists of a communication part having telephone communication functions; a personal digital assistant body having a first display part displaying information, including various types of messages and a connection part; and an external voice input/output part which has a second display part displaying information, including various types of messages and performs voice signal input/output with the communication part, when electrically connected with the personal digital assistant body via the connection part. In addition, the personal digital assistant body has a connection detect part for detecting whether the connection part is connected to the external voice input/output part, and a display control part for controlling the displays of the first display part and the second display part. The display control part makes the second display part display at least a part of the information displayed on the first display part, when the connection detect part detects that the external voice input/output part is connected to the connection part.
