PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private branch exchange and an IP extension terminal without requiring complicated operation or the like in order to prevent the tapping in voice communication on an IP network. SOLUTION: Voice data transmitted by an encryption information management part (205) and an encryption processor (206) are encrypted in the IP extension terminal 2 on the basis of its own extension telephone number. The data are decrypted by acquiring an encryption key, which corresponds to the extension telephone number of the IP extension terminal 2 of a transmission origin and is used in the encryption, from the encryption information management 105 having the same contents as the IP extension terminal 2 in the private branch exchange 1 receiving the encrypted voice data.
