PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image managing system capable of saving a storing capacity and efficiently managing tomographic image data. SOLUTION: A projection data is acquired and stored in a storing unit by scanning a subject using an X-ray CT unit (S01, S02). A reconstruction parameter is input from a reconstruction instruction unit and stored the storing unit (S03, S04). In this case, tomographic image data are reconstructed from the stored projection data and the stored reconstruction parameter. The reconstruction parameter is stored relating to the projection data. The tomographic image data are formed based on the projection data to be reconstructed and the reconstruction parameter related to the same (S06) when requiring to read out the tomographic image data from an image reading unit (S05). This reconstruction is identical with the reconstruction done when the reconstruction parameter is stored in S04, the same tomographic image data as the tomographic image data made at that time are made.
