<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closing assist device enabling, even for a person who cannot reach an automatic original supply part left, as it is opened, to close the automatic original supply part. <P>SOLUTION: The closing assist device is equipped with the automatic original supply part 13, provided openable by a hinge unit 15 in an apparatus body 11, a closing assist handle 14 turnably provided at least at one side part of the automatic original supply part 13, and a magnet 19 and a metallic part 20 fixing the closing assist handle 14 and the automatic original supply part 13; and it is constituted so that the closing assist handle 14 is released from the automatic original supply part 13 fixed by the magnet 19 and the metallic part 20, when the automatic original supply part 13 is opened and forms a predetermined angle with the apparatus body 11. A projection part 26 and a rotation regulating part 27 are provided in the closing assist handle 14, and the projection part 26 is brought into contact with the apparatus body 11, whereby the closing assist handle 14 is released from the automatic original supply part 13, where the closing assist handle 14 is fixed, and also the rotation regulating part 27 is brought into contact with the automatic original supply part 13, whereby the position of the closing assist handle 14 is regulated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
