<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming die of an optical element not only capable of forming a high quality and highly reliable optical element but also capable of manufacturing the die body easily and in high precision. <P>SOLUTION: This forming die of an optical element is for forming an optical element by pressing an optical material, and the die body is constituted of a tungsten carbide sintered body obtained by sintering tungsten carbide without adding a metallic binder, where the particle diameter of the tungsten carbide is set to ≤100 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
