<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate high-sensitive THI (Tissue-Harmonic-Imaging) image data without deviating from the range of the heat generation restriction or acoustic output restriction of an ultrasonic probe. <P>SOLUTION: An acoustic output control part 7 initially sets a driving voltage and a driving period in low sound pressure transmission for a monitoring image and a driving voltage and a driving period in high sound pressure transmission for the THI image. An acoustic output parameter arithmetic part 8 calculates the period of zero sound pressure transmission, based on the driving voltages, the driving periods, and a permission transmission acoustic output in the acoustic output restriction. The acoustic output control part 7 controls a driving circuit 23 of an ultrasonic transmission part 2, based on the setting values and the calculation value, so that the low sound pressure transmission, the high sound pressure transmission, and the zero sound pressure transmission are repeated. When the temperature measurement value of the ultrasonic probe 1 measured by a temperature measuring part 11 exceeds a stipulated temperature of the ultrasonic probe based on the heat generation restriction, the acoustic output control part 7 causes the driving circuit 23 to terminate the high sound pressure transmission and to make the transition to the zero sound pressure transmission. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
