<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming material which has wide development latitude, excellent plate inspection, further excellent removing ability of a non-image portion, and usefulness as a positive planographic printing original plate for an infrared laser. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming material has at least two kinds of alkali soluble resins (A), an acid coloring pigment represented by a general formula (1) (B), and an image recording layer containing an infrared ray absorber (C) on a supporting body, wherein at least a kind of the alkali soluble resin forms a dispersion phase. In the formula, rings A, B, C represent an aromatic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic heterocycle group with 1-3 nuclei, and further, at least one out of the rings B, C has at least one substituent selected from a group consisting of an amino group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group and an arylthio group. W<SP>1</SP>represents a carbonyl group, thiocarbonyl group, and so on, Q<SP>1</SP>represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or an imino group, and R<SP>21</SP>-R<SP>24</SP>represent a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group, and m and n represent 0 or 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
