<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle valve for preventing disturbance such as intermittent vortices in a fluid inlet passageway. <P>SOLUTION: A valve 30 has the fluid inlet passageway 12 connected with a fluid outlet passageway 14 through an orifice, and a valve element 20 for adjusting a flow rate of the fluid moving toward the orifice and passing through the orifice, a valve seat ring 32 is mounted on the orifice, and a structural member extended in the fluid inlet passageway for preventing disturbance such as intermittent vortices in the fluid inlet passageway, and stabilizing the flow of fluid through the valve, is mounted on the valve seat ring 32.
