<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid golf ball which is excellent in a flying performance and crack resistance and with which a player can increase a flying distance in a low head speed region especially. <P>SOLUTION: In the solid golf ball provided with a core and covers of at least one layer, the core is formed of polybutadiene, which contains cis-1,4-bonding by≥60% and is synthesized by using a rare earth element based catalyst, as a main material. The diameter of the core is 34.7-42.0 mm, and the deformation of the core at the time of the load of 100 kg is 2.5-5.0 mm. The outermost layer cover of the cover is formed of a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic elastomer, in which organic short fibers are mixed, as the main material. The Shore D hardness of the outermost layer cover is 55-70 and the thickness thereof is 0.5-2.0 mm. The mass of the entire solid golf ball is 40.0-44.9 g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
