<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an aged compost-like material having a few fine powder portion and excellent in handling property as an organic fertilizer at a low cost in high yield. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the aged compost-like material by heating and drying organic waste and heat-treating the waste, a polymer is added into a material to be treated, stirred and mixed in a temperature dropping stage of the heat treatment step after heating and drying. The polymer is stuck on the surface of fine powder in the material to be treated and the fine powders are agglomerated in a granular form by spraying the viscous polymer (polymer flocculant) aqueous solution to the material to be treated. The material to be treated is further heated, stirred and mixed in this state, and thus water is vaporized and the remaining polymer component is cross-linked with each other, consequently the material to be treated is granulated. The aged compost-like material having few fine powder is manufactured by adding such a polymer exhibiting aggregation and granulation effect in the temperature dropping stage of the heat treatment step to effectively exhibit the aggregation and granulation effect of the polymer without causing the burning of the polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
