AUTOMOBILE PEDAL SUPPORT STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an operating pedal from moving backwards, while increasing the pedal's operability for the driver.

SOLUTION: The spindle 42 of the operating pedal 4 is inserted into the overlapping portions of a vertically-grooved guide part 58 provided in a first bracket 5 and a horizontally-grooved guide part 68 provided in a second bracket 6 and is supported by the first and second brackets 5, 6. As the first bracket 5 moves backwards in the event of a head-on collision of the automobile, the spindle 42 is pushed backwards by the vertically-grooved guide part 58 and the spindle 42 is moved backwards inside the horizontally-grooved guide part 68.
