PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil with a foot manufacturable stably by winding accurately and quickly a metal wire rod having a diameter of 30μm or less on the outer periphery of a core bar with a prescribed winding pitch p, and a catalytic combustion type gas sensor using it. SOLUTION: In this coil with the foot part formed by extending the metal wire rod, the foot part comprises the same wire rod as the metal wire rod forming a coil body, and is extended in the longitudinal direction of coil in connection with the metal wire rod forming the coil body, and the foot is constituted on a position separated in the radial direction of coil from the metal wire rod forming the coil body.
