PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing glass beads, which manufactures the glass beads by utilizing waste heat or radiant heat other than the intrinsic object of a heating device, thereby exhibits enhanced utilization rate of the apparatus, can be effectively intensively used, and is excellent in energy saving property, and which is excellent in productivity and can continuously manufacture glass beads in which fine scratches are formed on respective surfaces in the state of frosted glass. SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the glass beads is penetratedly provided in a space of a heating device heated to a temperature between the glass softening point of the crushed glass particles and the glass softening point + 200°C. The apparatus is equipped with a tube body having a supply port for the crushed glass particles at one end side and a discharge port at other end side, projected parts which are fixedly arranged on the inner peripheral surface of the tube body, and a rotatively driving device for rotating the tube body having the fixedly arranged projected parts around a rotation axis.
