PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveying apparatus capable of simplifying a structure of an article conveyor, and easily ensuring a wide traveling path. SOLUTION: An article conveyor to convey an article is arranged across a traveling path 3 of an article conveying vehicle 2, and a crossing conveyor part 6 located in a crossing manner of the traveling path 3 in the article conveyor is constituted so as to be evacuated from the traveling path 3. The crossing conveyor part 6 can be changed to the conveying posture so as to be continuous to conveyor parts 4, 5 adjacent to an upper conveying side and a lower conveying side in the conveying direction in the article conveyor 1 and the evacuation posture to permit that the article conveying vehicle 2 evacuates from the traveling path 3 and is allowed to travel the traveling path 3 by the oscillation around the axis X of oscillation for attitude change.
