PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission device for a vehicle capable of installing an operation part and an assistance device at an instrument panel side. SOLUTION: Since the automatic transmission for the vehicle is made to a constitution that the operation part 9 and the assistance device 16 are separately formed and bonded to each other by brackets (mechanical bonding means) 14, 15, a position of the assistance device 16 relative to the operation part 9 can be optionally selected by varying the shape of the brackets 14, 15. Accordingly, since a position not interfering to other instruments is selected and the assistance device 16 can be installed in an internal space of the instrument panel 1, the operation part 9 and the assistance device 16 are installed at the instrument panel 1 side and a space S between a driver's seat and a front passenger seat is possibly utilized as a walk-through passage. Since the assistance device 16 is positioned at a driver's seat 2 side of the operation part, the assistance device 16 is not interfered to an air conditioner 8 generally arranged at a center in a vehicle width direction.
