PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a discomfort phenomenon such as a tiny shock which often occurs at an electrode-mounting place. SOLUTION: An electric signal for treatment is impressed from an output circuit 11 to electrodes 3 mounted to the body surface of a patient K via an external connection terminal 2. The connection path of the output circuit 11 with the external connection terminal 2 is grounded selectively via a relay 12. In a suspension period in which the electric signal is not impressed to the electrodes 3, the relay 12 is closed and the electrodes 3 are grounded. In another embodiment, (the relay contact 22c) of a relay 22 for short-circuiting the electrodes 3 with each other as shown in Figure 4 is provided in stead of the relay 12 to short-circuit the electrodes 3 with each other by closing the relay contact 22c in a suspension time.
