The method involves determining an actual recording angle between a camera and a normal line of a driver`s face. The recording of two-dimensional face images of the driver images is activated when the actual angle reaches a certain preset value. The face images are stored in cells (11-17) of a database along with the recording angle corresponding to the preset value such that a correlation between the image, driver, and the angle is provided.
