A method for inputting position information on the arrangement of the players of a volleyball game into a PC when scouting the opponent team. The procedure executed by the PC includes a step (S11) of displaying an image showing the court of the volleyball game on a display and a step (S13) of recognizing a point pointed by a mouse out of the points contained in the image shown on the display as the position information. With this, position information obtained by observing a sport game can be more accurately inputted.
