<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting display apparatus whose numerical aperture is improved and a method for driving the light emitting display apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting display apparatus is provided with: a plurality of scanning lines and a plurality of light emission control lines formed in the row direction; data lines formed in the column direction; and an image display part (30) including a plurality of pixel circuits (140) electrically connected to the scanning lines, the light emission control lines and the data lines.
