<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To engage a rack with a lead screw without backlash, using no separate member such as a spring, in a lens driving unit which moves a lens holding frame in an optical axis direction by engaging the rack with the lead screw to be driven by a motor. <P>SOLUTION: The rack 14 is made of an elastic member, and in a state the rack tooth of a rack main part in the rack 14 is engaged with a lead screw 15, an elastic projection piece part 21 formed in the rack 14 is elastically deformed from a position indicated by dashed lines to a position indicated by solid lines shown in Figure and pressurizes the rack tooth 17a of the rack main part 17 and the rack tooth 19a of a projection plate part 19 integrated with the rack main part 17 to the lead screw 15 by elastic restoring force of the elastic projection piece part 21. Consequently, the rack 17a of the rack main part 17 of the rack 14 is engaged with the lead screw 15 and since the elastic projection piece part 21 is integrated with the rack 14, a separate spring member becomes unnecessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
