<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium detecting device and an image forming device having a simple structure and being low cost, made to have a high heat resistance property, not being influenced by heat, capable of being arranged close to a fixing part, by using a magnet, a magnetic sensor detecting magnetic flux, and a magnetic material moving between the magnet and the magnetic sensor when touching a medium. <P>SOLUTION: The medium detecting device is composed of a medium detecting member arranged on a medium transporting passage displaced by contacting with the medium, a magnetic sensor turned on and off depending on the change of magnetic flux, and a magnet arranged at the magnetic sensor at a prescribed distance. The medium detecting member is provided with a magnetic material which moves between the magnetic sensor and the magnet, when the medium-detecting member is made to contact the medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
