PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To nondestructively test a deterioration degree of a polymer material installed in equipment. SOLUTION: The polymer material installed in the equipment is locally heated until one portion thereof comes to a temperature of glass transition, and the deterioration degree of the polymer material is determined based on the glass transition temperature.
