PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid fuel combustion device capable of reducing NOx by performing diffuse combustion around a top wall of an evaporation cylinder. SOLUTION: In a burner 10 wherein atomizing combustion is performed by igniting liquid fuel scattered from a space S between a vaporization cylinder 31 and a scattering ring 32 into the combustion chamber 11, evaporating the liquid fuel by heating the vaporization cylinder 31 by combustion heat in the atomizing combustion, and jetting the evaporated fuel from the burner port 29 formed on the combustion disc 16, holes 31C, 31D are formed on the top wall 31A and a peripheral wall 31B of the vaporization cylinder, and the fuel before evaporated are jetted from the holes to perform diffuse combustion, thus production of NOx is controlled.
