An electronic parking aid for motor vehicles is disclosed, having a display module as first main component, which in turn comprises a first wireless communication component for wirelessly transmitting data between a sensor module and the display module, a sensor module as second main component, comprising distance sensors, a solar accumulator which is designed as a photovoltaic module buffered with an accumulator and has a solar cell and a rechargeable buffer battery connected to the solar cell, a second wireless communication component for wirelessly transmitting data between the sensor module and the display module, and control electronics integrated in the sensor module or display module. The electronic parking aid is characterised in that it has an electronic component as third main component, comprising a third wireless communication component and designed to detect and signal by wireless communication the switching-on of a backing lamp of a motor vehicle in order to activate the electronic parking aid. |
