A building material for covering a frame of a structure, comprising a fibercement board (110) and an article connected to the surface of the board and adapted to receive a fastener (230) to fix the board to the structure (210), the article having a first flange (120a) connected to the board and a second flange (120b) extending beyond one of the opposing edges, the second flange being capable of moving relative to the first flange. The invention relates also to a building system comprising; a main board (110) and an adjacent board (220) connected to a framing element; an article connected to the main board surface and with one flange parallel with the main board surface and extending beyond one of the opposite ends of the main board; and a row of fasteners extending through the article to the framing element to secure the main board and the adjacent board.
