<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image selection information display device, printer and image selection information display method, in which image selection information can be displayed in a plurality of modes with states suitable for each of the modes. <P>SOLUTION: If a printing mode is selected in a selection picture for selecting a processing mode of a compound machine 1, a controller 16 displays a printing image list picture on a preview monitor 5. A list of images within an external storage medium 3 is displayed on this printing image list screen, and the controller 16 displays the number of prints in an image, selectively designated as an object to be printed among the images on the list. Furthermore, if a storage mode is selected on the selection screen, the controller 16 displays a storage image list screen on the preview monitor 5.
