<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable monitoring whether or not an electronic device is normally operated via a communication line while enabling efficiently executing processing instructed by a user or the like in the electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: If processing having higher priority than that of self-diagnosis processing and maintenance information acquiring processing is being executed or in an execution standby state when regular report is performed, a composite machine 10 delays the execution of the self-diagnosis processing and maintenance information acquiring processing, and transmits only delay notification.
