<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a cap with a hinge of high mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: The cap includes a cap body 2 having a spout and mounted on a mouth 1a of a container 1, a lid 3 for closing the spout 2a, and a hinge 4 for connecting the cap body with the lid for swingably supporting the lid on the cap body. The hinge consists of a thin piece 4a having a folding line forming a swinging starting point with the rear and front ends respectively connected with the cap body and the lid with the line as a border, and a pair of tapered coupling pieces 4b and 4c respectively connected with three portions in total of the respective breadthwise ends of the thin piece, the cap body and the lid and extending outward along the breadthwise direction of the thin piece. The coupling piece has a side line connected with the line of the thin piece and gradually widening outward and a curved surface with curvature increasing with distance farther away from the thin piece, and has a thickness distribution where the thickness gradually increases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
