<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that composes a remote management system capable of updating management information by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a connecting means for connecting to a network; an order storage means for storing an order assigned to each of the image forming apparatus belonged to groups of image forming apparatus composed of the image forming apparatus and the other image forming apparatuses connected to the network; a communication condition monitoring means by which, among the other image forming apparatuses, at least the one that is one order higher or lower than the image forming apparatus is found based upon the order stored in the order storage means, and communication condition between the image forming apparatus and at least the image forming apparatus that is one order higher or lower than the image forming apparatus is monitored; and an order updating means by which the order stored in the order storage means is updated when an abnormal state in the communication is detected by the communication condition monitoring means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
