PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system with which a user can easily grasp the latest positions and contents of a store etc. on a scenery image.

SOLUTION: A content managing server 2 picks up a piece of content information corresponding to the position of a terminal 1 from the piece of content information recorded by its own recording means. The terminal 1 calculates the display position to display by overlapping the piece of content information on the scenery image photographed by the terminal 1 based on the position of the terminal 1 and the contents picked up by the content managing server 2, and displays the piece of content information so as to overlap at this calculated position.
