<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of supplying content information to a recording device via a network while maintaining security by using an encrypting/decrypting function. <P>SOLUTION: The communication apparatus has an encryption unit 81 for encrypting a content signal C with an encryption key K<SB>C</SB>to output an encrypted content signal K<SB>C</SB>C; a key encrypting unit 73 for encrypting the encryption key K<SB>C</SB>using a static device key k and a dynamic device key K1 which are previously stored, and outputting an encrypted encryption key kK1K<SB>C</SB>; communication units 69-72 for performing communication so that the encrypted encryption key kK1K<SB>C</SB>may be recorded into a predetermined device 29 on the network, and the encrypted encryption key kK1K<SB>C</SB>may be recorded into a predetermined region 25 on the network; and a key updating unit 73 for updating the stored dynamic device key in discarding the encryption key K<SB>C</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
