<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator apparatus small in size, low in noise, and excellent in startability. <P>SOLUTION: This elevator apparatus comprises a hoist to wind up a rope for lifting up and down a car for carrying persons and loads. The hoist comprises a motor (multi-fork motor) 19 having a prescribed winding structure with a rotor 80 in which permanent magnets 81 are buried and a stator 90. In the motor (multi-fork motor) 19 having the prescribed winding structure, a plurality of salient poles 91 are formed on a stator core, and windings 93a, 93b, and 93c wound on the adjacent salient poles 91 are wound on the salient poles 91 in the directions reverse to each other in each phase of the stator. The permanent magnets 81 larger in quantity than that of the salient poles 91 of the stator 90 are buried in the rotor 80, and a voltage of a same phase is applied to the winding of the same phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
