<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to know easily the kind of connection to be established to appropriately reproduce contents to be reproduced. <P>SOLUTION: The terminal is provided with a display means, data communication means, and control means. When the control means receives connection information data to recognize one or more connection to be established in order to receive the streaming data from a server with the data communication means, it sends a connection establishment request to establish one or more connection to be established to the server with the data communication means on the basis of the connection information data and performs receiving reproducing processing in order to receive and reproduce the streaming data transmitted from the server via the connection with the data communication means.
