<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake lever capable of widening the space around the feet of a driver, applicable even when the parking brake is disengaged. <P>SOLUTION: The parking brake lever is equipped with a rod-shaped member 18 installed at an angle near the horizontal rather than the plumb and an operating knob 19 installed at the tip of the rod-shaped portion 18, wherein the operating knob 19 is furnished with a disengaging button 36 positioned farther from the driver in the direction across the vehicle width and a grip 40 protruding in the applicable direction to be grasped by hand while it pinches the space part 41 opening in the brake disengaging direction below the base part 42 coupled with the rod-shaped member 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
