PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling device on a battery exchanging truck, capable of keeping a released state of a coupler even if the operation of a coupler operating tool such as a coupling lever is released at the time of coupling or releasing coupling with an electric vehicle, and reducing troublesome process in battery exchanging work. SOLUTION: In the coupling device on the battery exchanging truck 10, a coupling mechanism 30 coupled to a predetermined position of the electric vehicle is provided on a truck main body equipped with at least a battery mounting portion. The coupling mechanism 30 includes the coupler 32 freely coupled to the electric vehicle, and a coupling operating tool switching the coupler 32 between a coupled position and a released position. In order to keep the released state of the coupler 32, a coupling operating tool holding means for holding the coupling operating tool at the releasing position is provided.
