PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share only a symbol to share a word representing an arbitrary data object in a distributed information processing environment. SOLUTION: An information processing system includes an immutable storage section 22 and a mutable storage section 20 with respect to a given function having impact resistance associating the word being the finite sequence of the symbol with the symbol. The immutable storage section 22 stores the word and outputs the word being the word with which the symbol to be inputted by applying the given function can be obtained, when the symbol is inputted. The mutable storage section 20 stores the word being the symbol by associating it with the randomly generated symbol, and outputs the word stored by being associated with the symbol to be inputted, when the symbol is inputted. The information processing system includes: a symbol input section 50 inputting the symbol; and a retrieval section 56 outputting the word by any one of a first word output means and a second word output means in accordance with the symbol to be inputted.
