PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval device, a retrieval method and a retrieval program, allowing a user to designate contrary elements such as retrieval speed and retrieval accuracy by simple operation while using the same retrieval means, and executing retrieval according to the designation. SOLUTION: A designation part 1 receives designation of priority of the retrieval speed and the retrieval accuracy, for example, performed by the user, and delivers it to a retrieval parameter setting part 2. The retrieval parameter setting part 2 sets various retrieval parameters used in time of the retrieval according to the designation from the user. For example, the retrieval parameter setting part 2 can set the retrieval parameter such as the number of documents of a retrieval target or the number of documents of a retrieval result, or a relevance degree when performing related document retrieval. A retrieval part 3 performs the retrieval according to the retrieval parameter set by the retrieval parameter setting part 2, and exhibits the retrieval result to the user.
