PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that allows an accurate temperature of a fixing roller to be always measured. SOLUTION: A sensor unit 32 to which a thermistor (non-contact type temperature sensor) 38 is fitted is supported swingably by a support part 11A of a frame 11. The sensor unit 32 is energized by a spring 42 and a projection 34A atop of it abuts against a non-contact region 14B of the fixing roller 14. Variation in distance between the thermistor 38 and fixing roller 14 is made less than that when the sensor unit 32 is fixed to the frame 11, and the temperature of the fixing roller 14 is accurately measured.
