摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder having a high magnetic characteristic, capable of detecting a rotational frequency highly accurately, and hardly generating a crack or the like even in a severe using condition, and a rolling bearing unit. SOLUTION: This magnetic encoder is equipped with a fixing member 25 mountable on a rotator, and an approximately annular magnet part 26 mounted on the fixing member 25 and magnetized in multiple poles in the circumferential direction. The magnet part 26 comprises a plastic magnet material using a thermoplastic resin including magnetic substance powder as much as 86-92 wt.% as a binder. The magnet part 26 is chemically bonded to the fixing member 25 comprising a magnetic material by an adhesive wherein a hardening reaction proceeds at the insert molding time.
