PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and dehydrating apparatus for roller that washes and dehydrates a roller with quality of a material to accumulate a coating material or protective layer forming material in a convenient procedure and that prevents a deterioration in the performance of the roller. SOLUTION: The body part 52 of the roller is provided with a first pivot 110 and a second pivot 112 to mount both the ends of the roller 40 in such a manner as to freely rotate, pipes 106, 108 equipped with a plurality of fine apertures 116, 118 directed in the direction of the roller 40 mounted and a wind mill 126 to rotate the first pivot 110 in reception of compressed air jetting from a jetting nozzle 128. The compressed air or washing liquid is alternatively supplied to the pipes 106, 108. The roller 40 is rotated by the action of the wind mill 126 and the action for the washing liquid or compressed air to be sprayed to the side face. The roller 40 has an axial center hollow part 40a and supplies the washing liquid to the axial center hollow part 40a from the center shaft 122 of the first pivot 110. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
