The device has a receiving device for receiving a stereotyped input signals (4, 4`) and an output device for the output of an output signal (5) to an audio reproduction device (3) e.g. vehicle radio, based on the input signals. A sensor detects a type of the input signals and the output device outputs another output signal (6) to the reproduction device based on the type of the input signals. An independent claim is also included for a method for communication of data in a vehicle.
