<p>The present invention relates to tape measure apparatus including an adapter (46) having a first portion (48), which is sized and shaped so as to be attached to a butt end (18) of a fishing pole (12), and a second portion (50), which is attached to the first portion (48). The tape measure apparatus is provided with a tape measure device (22) sized and shaped such that the tape measure device (22) can be removably attached to the adapter (46).
