<p>The carrier body (2) of the reagent carrier (1) has an elongated shape with long sides (4, 4') and transverse sides (5, 5'), the latter being of different lengths. The long sides are at an angle to each other, of preferably 13-17 [deg]. Three cavities (3, 3', 3'') are included. These have different sizes, taking 250-350 ml, 100-150 ml and 60-100 ml of liquid reagent respectively. They lie adjacently along a straight line. The cavities include openings (6, 7) for extraction and filling, on the top and bottom respectively. The filling opening area is smaller than that for extraction, preferably being less than 10 % of the area. The filling opening is oval in form. Openings have cover films. The reagent in the cavity is a liquid. Residual air above the liquid preferably occupies less than 0.5 % of the respective cavity volume. The carrier has a machine-readable format relating to the cavity contents, this is a bar- or dot code. A suitable transport container is also claimed, for insertion into analysis equipment.</p> |
