Exterior rendering preparation contains 0.01-7.0 wt.%, preferably 0.4 wt.% carbon fibers. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Powder mixture containing the above rendering preparation; and (2) Heat insulating composite system Preferred Features: The carbon fibers have a thickness of 4-10 mu m, preferably 7 mu m, and a length of 1-10 mm, preferably 3 mm.
